2012

S5 pin

S5 is founded with the clear goal of making it cheaper and easier for small and medium-sized businesses to accept Visa/Mastercard payments.

2013 - 2015

Partnerships are established

Partnerships are established with acquiring banks. The launch of S5's own payment terminals from Ingenico.

2017 - 2018

100% independent payment infrastructure

S5's payment infrastructure becomes 100% independent, sending transactions directly to acquiring banks in Europe. All credit and debit cards and local solutions are now offered in Denmark.

2019

First movers

S5 is the first in Denmark to introduce a complete consumer based payment solution for both small and medium-sized businesses in Denmark.

2021 - 2022

New steps

S5 becomes part of Kiloo Ventures and moves to Aarhus C. In addition, the Android-based PAX payment terminal series is introduced, with API integration.

2022-2023

New product and launch in Greenland

We launch S5 Acquiring Agreement — a card deal where all stores regardless of size get the same low transaction prices. At the same time, we enter the Greenlandic market and give local businesses access to a more fair and modern payment solution.

2024

Ecommerce and expansion to the Faroe Islands

S5 enters into a strategic partnership with the payment gateway Frisbii to provide online businesses with the best conditions for success. At the same time, S5 enters the Faroese market and give access to a more fair and modern payment solution.
